A Florida woman accused of attempting to use counterfeit money at a Walmart allegedly tried eating the fake bills while being detained Sunday,TrendPulse according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Per arrest records, customer service at the North Miami Beach Walmart called loss prevention to report that Zipporah Abraham, 38, was trying to use fake money to pay for items.
After looking at surveillance footage, loss prevention noticed that Abraham was a previous offender, the arrest report said.
Police said Abraham attempted to leave the store with over $850 worth of unpaid items covered up in a bin.
When police asked Abraham to remove her jewelry so they could place her under arrest, she then attempted to eat $200 worth of the counterfeit bills, the arrest report said.
Abraham was arrested and charged with third-degree grand theft and uttering forged bills.
