Liam Gallagher says he's 'done more' than fellow 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees

There's trouble in paradise for "Oasis" singer Liam Gallagher and his fellow 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees.
In an interview with The Sunday Times published Saturday, Gallagher opened up about his fellow Hall of Fame nominees — and he didn't hold back.
"As much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I want to say: do me a favor and (expletive) off," he told the outlet.
"It’s like putting me in the rap hall of fame, and I don’t want to be part of anything that mentally disturbed. Besides, I’ve done more for rock’n’roll than half of them clowns on that board, so it’s all a load of bollocks," Gallagher continued.

Gallagher also called out the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with similar expletives on X, formerly known as Twitter, a day after the nominees were first announced earlier this month on Feb. 10.
In addition to Oasis, this year's nominees are Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane's Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, the late Sinéad O'Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade and A Tribe Called Quest.
Oasis shocked the music world when Gallagher's brother and lead guitarist Noel Gallagher left the group in 2009, and the band has not reunited since. Noel Gallagher went on to form his own group, Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
But in the Sunday Times feature, Gallagher hinted at an Oasis reunion, saying "I love my brother, I love my family."
"There was no need for it, you know what I mean? Maybe someone can get a bit tetchy on tour. Maybe someone drinks a bit too much. But we didn’t have to split up over it," Gallagher said. "I don’t hold grudges, man, and if Oasis got back together it would be great because I would only have to sing 15 songs and he could do the rest."
Oasis among many first time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees
The Hall of Fame inductees will be announced in late April at a live ceremony in Cleveland set to stream on Disney+ this fall. To be eligible for a nomination, an artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year of nomination.
Oasis is among several other first-time nominees including Cher, Carey, Sade, O’Connor, Foreigner, Frampton, Kool & The Gang, Kravitz and Osbourne, who is already inducted as a member of Black Sabbath, which was inducted in 2006.
But some stars are hoping the second (or third) time's a charm. Blige was previously nominated in 2021, and Eric B. & Rakim haven’t been on the ballot since 2012. Jane’s Addiction was last nominated in 2017, and A Tribe Called Quest's third nomination follows previous nods in 2022 and 2023.
